An autoimmune encephalitis panel is a set of laboratory tests, typically performed on blood or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), that detect autoantibodies targeting specific neural receptors and proteins. These antibodies mistakenly attack healthy brain cells, causing inflammation and symptoms like confusion, seizures, memory loss, and behavioral changes.
