Anti Phospholipid Antibody IgA
Anti Phospholipid Antibodies (APLAs) IgA are a type of autoantibody that targets phospholipids or phospholipid-binding proteins, and their presence can indicate an increased risk for blood clots and pregnancy complications, characteristic of Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS). These IgA antibodies, along with IgG and IgM, are part of a larger group of aPLs that are measured in diagnostic tests for autoimmune conditions like APS, though IgA isotypes are a newer focus in diagnostic research.
