Aspergillus Fumigatus-Specific IgE (FEIA)

An Aspergillus Fumigatus-Specific IgE (FEIA) test is a blood test that measures the levels of specific immunoglobulin E antibodies in response to the fungus Aspergillus fumigatus. It uses a technique called Fluorescence Enzyme Immunoassay (FEIA) or a similar method like ImmunoCAP to detect these antibodies, helping to diagnose allergic conditions like allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and mold allergies, and informing treatment strategies.
