Immunoglobulin IgE (FEIA)
Immunoglobulin E (IgE) is an antibody produced by the immune system that can trigger allergic reactions to substances like pollen, dust mites, foods, and animal dander, as well as play a role in defending against parasitic infections. A FEIA (Fluorescent Enzyme Immunoassay) is a common laboratory method used to measure the levels of both total and specific IgE in a patient's blood, which helps in diagnosing and managing allergies and other IgE-related conditions.
