Albumin, Urine 24H
A 24-hour urine albumin test measures the amount of albumin, a type of protein, in your urine over a 24-hour period to assess kidney health. Normal urine contains very little or no albumin, as healthy kidneys filter it out. Elevated levels (albuminuria) can indicate kidney damage, often caused by conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure. The test is performed by collecting all urine over 24 hours, and results are compared to a normal range.
