Anti Cardiolipin Antibody IgG
An Anti-cardiolipin Antibody (ACL IgG) test detects IgG antibodies that mistakenly target cardiolipin, a component of cell membranes and platelets. High levels of these antibodies indicate a risk of forming blood clots in veins and arteries, a condition called Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS). The test is also used to investigate unexplained blood clots, frequent miscarriages, and some autoimmune conditions like Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
