Urinary Albumin Spot
A spot urinary albumin test, specifically the urine albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR), measures the amount of albumin and creatinine in a single urine sample to assess kidney health. This ratio normalizes urine concentration, making it a reliable indicator of kidney damage, or albuminuria, which can be an early sign of chronic kidney disease (CKD). A UACR greater than 30 mg/g is generally considered abnormal.
