SS - B (La) IgG Antibody

The SS-B (La) IgG Antibody test detects autoantibodies against the La protein, which is associated with autoimmune conditions, particularly Sjögren's syndrome and sometimes other connective tissue diseases (CTDs), such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). A positive result, especially when combined with anti-SS-A (Ro) antibodies, suggests Sjögren's syndrome, though isolated positive results may have uncertain diagnostic and prognostic value.
