Anti Cardiolipin Antibody IgA
An anti-cardiolipin antibody (ACA) IgA test is a blood test that measures IgA-type antibodies against cardiolipins, a type of phospholipid involved in blood clotting. Elevated levels of these antibodies can indicate a risk for blood clot formation, recurrent miscarriages, or a related autoimmune condition like antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) or lupus (SLE). The test helps explain unexplained clotting events, pregnancy loss, or the management of autoimmune disorders.
