A Leptospira IgG Antibody ELISA is a laboratory test that detects genus-specific human antibodies against the bacterium Leptospira in a blood sample (serum or plasma). This ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) uses an antigen-antibody reaction to indicate past exposure or later-stage Leptospira infection, as IgG antibodies develop later in the infection and can persist for months or years.
